The Amaranth Womyn Lesbian Community Website Award shall be awarded to those sites and individuals which display the following qualities:
Your Site must be:
explicitely GAY
quick loading
easy to navigate
have usable content
be enjoyable and encouraging
Your Site should avoid:
nudity, erotica and pornography
hate and racism
violence of any kind including consentual
just links lists
password protected pages
adult verification to access any parts of the site
links to adult pornographic or erotica sites
Browny points include:
Minimal graphics
Updates current and copyrighted dates current
Easy and creative navigation
The more pages, the better, if orchestrated well
easy to be read text and non-busy backgrounds
original images
Content of the pages should be interesting
The links must be clearly marked and understandable
Educational, informative or enlightening
The HTML code must be correct
user friendly layout
Negatives:
Use of more than one Java scripts per page
Use of java scripts that hang up browsers
Use of frames
Use of music
Too many animations and busy colors
Broken links or broken images
Use of Java applets on pages other than the home or index page
Pages too large to load
